Part 4 – Bodywork and Painting
it’s been a few weeks since the last post on the motor, but as you can see from this site, we were pretty busy with the other ‘48.
now the body has been sitting for a month or so off the frame on the floor. it’s time to start the bodywork–the least enjoyable part for me.
first i started by removing all of the old fiberglass floors that the previous owner had put it along with a few poorly placed tin patch panels.
the next step was on to patching the wholes in the body and installing the new floor pan and toolbox. after that, it was on to the body filler and, yep, you guessed it, more sanding…


after the whole thing was sanded patched up, it was time for primer and paint.

next, to put the body on the frame and start getting ready to drive it… with only a week to go until our car show in town…
