got it back into leesburg and tore it down. this time trying not to damage the already fragile body parts.

taking off the fenders with some convincing

some of the “bubbafication”, as the guy mike who sold it to me, put it. the previous owner WELDED the fender to the cowl, and later i found out he also welded the exhaust to the body and the body to the frame. btw previous owner wherever you are, it’s time to put down the spot welder when you are suppose to bolt things together…

look close at the silver parts, those are the ones i had to cut.

then it’s always fun to pull the top end off these stagnent T90’s

img_0039.jpgimg_0041.jpgimg_0040.jpgimg_0042.jpgimg_0043.jpg yeah thats the good stuff

after unwelding the body to the fram on the passenger’s side it was time to pull the body off, but before we could do that it had to get one last problem in and dump the reminants of the heater core into an electric green puddle on the floor.

alot of work got done, bought a jeep and pulled the body parts off in the same day. scratch some more items off the list. body work to start soon. too bad floor pans are so expensive.

bonus points if you can spot the homebuilt sidestep, that for some reason didn’t appear on the driver’s side.

here’s a video of it getting loaded up:
